Eating Disorders Therapy Group

This therapy group is for women desiring to work in a supportive, nurturing group on healing painful emotions, overcoming eating disorders, improving relationships or achieving personal growth and fulfillment. This is an ongoing, open-ended group. It requires a minimum commitment of six months. Although, most people will choose to stay longer. Group members will share with each other and support each other as they work toward the following goals:

Emotional Healing To heal painful emotional states including depression, grief, anxiety, shame, guilt, worry, anger and stress; to develop better coping skills; to improve emotional well-being; and to feel more contented and at peace.

Eating Normally To overcome all types of eating problems including anorexia, bulimia, binge or compulsive eating, and destructive dieting; to become a normal eater and make peace with food; to develop a positive body-image; and to establish a healthy lifestyle.

Joyful Relating To improve your relationships including parenting, love relationships, friendships, and work relationships; to develop a more secure attachment style; to feel acceptance, accepted, and a sense of belonging; and to give and receive love more freely, fully, and deeply.

Growing To broaden your awareness; to grow personally; to create more meaning and depth in your life; and to become all that you are meant to become, that is, to reach your full potential while continuing to expand your horizons and increase your daily happiness.
